The Stroud High School Business and Information Technology Education courses are offiered by Mr. Douglas Keely as part of our Oklahoma Career and Technology Education partneship.
Courses offered are:
Fundamentals of Technology
The focus in Fundamentals of Technology is on Computer Literacy, Computer Science basics and the MS Office Suite of Applications. This course serves to prepare students for the Microsoft Office User Specialist level of professional certifications.
Computer Repair and Troubleshooting I (Hardware)
The focus in Computer Repair and Troubleshooting I is for students to gain a thorough understanding of the repair and maintanance of microcomputers, troubleshooting techniques, customer service skills and the assembly of computers. This course serves to prepare students for the CompTIA A+ level of professional certifications.
Programming in Java
The focus of Programming in Java is for students to gain a thorough understanding of the Software Development process as well as the foundations of computer programming using both the Netbeans (Sun Microsystems) and Eclipse Integrated Development Environments. The course serves to prepare students for Java Applications Programming level of professional certifications.
BITE Advisory Board
The SHS BITE Department consists of members of the Stroud community, parents of Stroud High School students as well as members of Stroud local government who serve in advisory role, helping to develop excellence in Stroud High School Technology Education.
