The Stroud High School Softball and Stroud High School Baseball Teams games at Stroud Monday afternoon, March 3rd have both been cancelled by Kellyville High School and Okemah High School at those schools' request.

Students in Mrs. Chace's Aviation Class had the opportunity to tour Mint Turbines in Stroud. Mike Horwath and Eric Bradley talked with the students about the various jobs and duties that are performed at Mint Turbines, from cleaning parts, to quality control, machining, paint and powder coating parts, testing engines, and much more. Students were amazed to see the various helicopter engines (both assembled and disassembled)! They discussed how helicopter engines worked and were able to see how engines are tested. Thank you Mike Horwath and Eric Bradley for showing our students the many aviation related tasks and jobs that are under the roof of Mint Turbines!

Get ready for Round 2 of the OSSAA Regional Basketball Tournament tonight! The Stroud Lady Tigers go up against Stratford at 6pm, followed by the boys taking on Preston at 7:30pm!
The cost is $10 cash admission or use GoFan for $8.35. The only pass accepted is an OSSAA official pass.
The games are livestreamed on the NFHS Network and a fee for viewing is required as this is an official OSSAA event. Regular season events through the NFHS Network for Stroud Schools home events are sponsored by the Stroud Public Schools. See you there!

The Stroud Public Schools are in session Friday, February 21st for regular operations. We have prepared campuses today for tomorrow to the best of our ability. Bus drivers evaluated their routes today, and after consultations we feel confident we can operate safely.
Due to the weather, the State Archery Tournament that was scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed. Arrangements are pending for a reschedule date.
Get ready for an action-packed weekend at the Rt. 66 Coliseum! Stroud will be hosting the 2A Regionals Basketball Tournament. Due to the winter weather conditions all dates for the games that are listed in the attached OSSAA brackets have been moved back a day. As a result, the tournament will start Friday, February 21st. Game times and sites will remain the same. The tournament will run, Friday, Saturday and Monday. Starting this Friday, the Stroud Lady Tigers will play at 1:00pm against Luther followed by the boys at 2:30pm against Minco!

Congratulations to Stroud FFA Officers Bailey Faires and Sarah Guzman for their impressive accomplishments at the Central Area Science Fair Academic Contest! They both qualified for the State Contest on March 8th in Stillwater for a chance to win scholarships in each division.
Stroud Public Schools will be closed Monday, February 17th in observance of Presidents’ Day.
Stroud High School had a successful “Dude. Be Nice.” week! Our students came together to promote kindness, empathy, and respect. The Student Council did an amazing job organizing a variety of student led activities. From kindness challenges to heartfelt messages, it was clear that the students are developing a community that cares.
Thank you to all the students, teachers, and staff who participated and helped spread positivity. Let’s continue to support one another and make kindness the norm every day!
