#It's A Great Day To Be A Tiger

We are incredibly proud to congratulate our FCCLA team on an outstanding achievement at the National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida. They placed 14th in the entire nation in the Repurpose and Redesign Level 2 category of the FCCLA STAR Events. While at the conference, students not only competed at a national level but also had the opportunity to connect with FCCLA members and advisers from across the country. They attended leadership workshops, explored various career pathways, and gained valuable insights from industry professionals. Way to represent your school and community on the national stage!

Today, we celebrate the freedom, unity, and spirit that make our country so special. Stroud Public Schools is proud to be part of a community that values education, opportunity, and the future of every child. Wishing all of our students, families, staff, and neighbors a safe and joyful 4th of July filled with pride, gratitude, and celebration! It's a GREAT day to be a TIGER! 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

Last week, Coach DJ McIntyre and Coach Brett Tiger, along with their high school baseball team, knocked it out of the park at their Summer Baseball Camp! Young athletes hit the field with energy and excitement, learning the fundamentals of the game! Led by our varsity players, these future stars gained valuable skills from hitting and catching to base running and teamwork!
⚾️It’s a GREAT day to be a TIGER!⚾️

Mrs. Chace’s Aviation students attended a presentation and discussion with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, where they learned firsthand what it takes to fly with precision, discipline, and courage. They were also able to catch a glimpse of them doing a practice flight! Thank you Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics for organizing such an impactful experience for the next generation of aerospace leaders!

Parkview Elementary STEAM Camp 2025: “Camping Through STEAM!”
We had an amazing week at Parkview Elementary where students in grades K-5 explored the great outdoors, STEAM style! Our camping themed STEAM camp took students on a hands on adventure through Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math, all while building creativity, curiosity, and teamwork!
Kindergarten - 2nd Grade students explored nature and bugs, hot rock art (melted crayon magic!), dried flower suncatchers & solar ovens! They made tents, lanterns, boats, fireflies, and binoculars. They also built a real campfire, roasted hotdogs & s’mores! They enjoyed fun in the sun with yard games, water shooters, and bubbles!
The 3rd - 5th Grade students dug deeper into STEAM! The students learned how to make s’more’s outside in a pizza box with foil, make their own rod and reel from bamboo shoots and pop bottle lids. They also created a “camp fire” in art and used beans for a collage. In technology, they learned coding, electric circuits, and used Artie bots for drawing. In engineering, they made bows and arrows from dental floss picks and a tips, learned how to tie fishing line on a hook, and created a marshmallow zip line. In science, they went on nature scavenger hunts, made a bug collection and learned how to use a compass for orienteering and made marshmallow catapults. On Thursday, they went to Stroud lake to put some of their new learned skills to work! They fished, searched for more bugs and hiked!
We are so proud of our campers for their enthusiasm and creativity. This week was packed with discovery, laughter and learning!
A huge thank you to our amazing staff and volunteers who brought this STEAM adventure to life!

This week, Stroud Schools hosted STEAM Camp 2025 for our Parkview, Middle and High School students! They dove into a world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math!
Throughout the week, the HS/MS students made and rode hovercrafts, built and launched rockets, designed and tested cardboard boats (some even held up on the water!), constructed their own Transformers and showcased them in a fun parade, created boat flags, raced LEGO sail cars with fan power, flew drones and even cracked codes in an escape room!
The grand finale included a trip to Stroud Lake where students tested their boats, followed by a visit to the Stroud Airport! Survival Flight gave students a chance to see, sit in, and explore a real-life helicopter. An aircraft mechanic showed them an airplane up close and shared insights into aircraft maintenance.
Students even had the chance to explore vehicles from Stroud Police, Lincoln County Emergency Management, Stroud Fire Department, a Model A car, a semi truck, and even a tractor!
The Stroud EM & Fire Chief also flew search and rescue drones, demonstrating real life applications of tech to locate fire hot spots and missing persons.
We wrapped up the week with a Transformer Parade (our students’ creativity was off the charts!) and an epic water balloon fight!
Our goal with STEAM Camp is to light a spark in our students, to inspire curiosity, problem-solving, and creativity in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.
We are so proud of our students for jumping in, thinking big, building bigger, and having a blast while learning. THANK YOU to all of our incredible teachers, volunteers, and community partners who made this week unforgettable!
