📚 Stroud Alternative Academy welcomed Oklahoma Game Warden Jacob Harriet for an engaging “Skins and Skulls” presentation. Hosted through the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC), this hands-on program gave students a unique opportunity to explore Oklahoma’s diverse wildlife.
Students learned about various animals while examining and feeling real skins and skulls, bringing the lesson to life in an exciting and interactive way. They also had the chance to use thermal imaging glasses and night vision goggles, giving them a glimpse into how wildlife officers are able to capture illegal hunters at night and stay protected in the field.

⚓️Students from Stroud Alternative Academy recently toured the Tulsa Port of Catoosa to learn more about the port and explore the many career opportunities available there. During the visit, students learned how the port plays an important role in moving goods across the country.
The Tulsa Port of Catoosa is also home to more than 50 companies within its 2,000-acre industrial park, employing nearly 3,500 workers. The tour helped students see firsthand the variety of careers available in transportation, logistics, manufacturing, and industrial operations. It was a great opportunity for students to connect what they are learning in school to real-world career pathways in Oklahoma.

🍀Mrs. Presley’s PreK class had a little St. Patrick’s Day magic happen in their classroom this past week! The students decorated cups that would become their leprechaun hats. Overnight, the hats were “magically” shrunk down to leprechaun size! The class worked together to set up a clever trap, hoping to catch a little leprechaun. When they came back the next morning, they discovered tiny green footprints all around the room, proof that a leprechaun had definitely paid them a visit! Although they didn’t quite catch him, he must have been impressed with their hard work because he left behind a special surprise. Each student found chocolate gold coins waiting under their magically shrunken hats! 💚It's a GREAT day to be a TIGER!💚
