Today marked the end of an incredible era as Kamden Bray and Carly DeLeon took the field one last time in their Stroud High School varsity uniforms at the All-State Softball Game.
These two athletes have given their all to Lady Tiger Softball. They have left a lasting mark on our program and our hearts. While this chapter comes to a close, we know the future is shining bright for both of them. We couldn’t be more proud of Kamden and Carly! Once a Tiger, always a Tiger! 💙🤍🥎
Big things are happening this summer for our amazing FCCLA students! The new officers went to the District Officer Training (DOT) Camp this last week in Anadarko to kick off their leadership journey! Isla Arballo is the North 5 VP of Community Service, Ricky McCall is VP of Membership, and Izzy Greene is VP STAR Events. Way to represent the Stroud Tigers! 💙🐯
The Stroud High School Cheer Team attended NCA Camp in Stillwater, Oklahoma! We’re so proud of their hard work and dedication as they prepare to bring the spirit all year long. Congratulations to the team for earning a Superior Ribbon for their Game Day Cheer Routine, and to our new All-American Team members: Peyton Davis, Olivia Stanger, and Kadrian Brown!
Stroud’s Band Director, Kevin Couch, kicked off the marching band season today with a Mini Marching Camp!
Last year’s beginning band students jumped right into learning the essential fundamentals of marching, setting the stage for a strong and exciting fall season. From posture and step technique to teamwork and discipline, these young musicians are already showing great focus and energy!
It’s exciting to see their progress and enthusiasm as they gear up for marching band season. We can’t wait to see them SHINE on the field this fall!

The Lady Tigers hosted an energetic, fun filled camp for girls in grades 3 through 6th this past week! They learned key fundamentals and ran through drills like champs! The Lady Tiger team had a blast mentoring and working with the campers. The future is definitely bright for Lady Tiger basketball! We can’t wait to see these Tigers back on the court this fall!

Kelly Brown has been named the Stroud Public School Foundation's Teacher of the Year for 2024-2025! It is honor that highlights her dedication to education, her students, and the Stroud community.
A 2000 graduate of Stroud High School, Kelly went on to earn her degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University in 2004, followed by a Master's in Educational Administration from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. That same year, she began her teaching career at Parkview Elementary, where she has since worn many hats—teaching third and fourth grade, computers, music, and math. Today, she continues to make a difference in the music classroom while also serving as the STAR and Math Assessments Coordinator.
Beyond the classroom, Kelly’s impact extends across athletic fields and tracks. She served as the Middle School girls basketball and softball coach as well as the Assistant and Head High School Girls Basketball Coach. Currently, she leads the Elementary, Middle School, and High School Cross Country teams as well as the Girls Track program. Her coaching excellence has earned her back-to-back OCCTCA Track "Coach of the Year" honors in 2023 and 2024. Under her leadership, the girls track team was State Runner-Up in 2021 and the State Champions in 2023, with her athletes consistently achieving academic honors as well.
Kelly’s passion for teaching and coaching is rooted in her students. “My students inspire me each day to be the best I can be,” she says. “They come to my class eager to learn and love music!” One of her favorite parts of the school year is watching her students perform in the beloved Christmas Program and share their musical talents with the community.
At the heart of Kelly’s philosophy is a deep belief in the potential of every child. “My goal has always been to provide a positive learning environment where ALL students are loved, can learn, and know I believe in them to be the best they can be,” she shares.
Kelly Brown’s contributions to education, athletics, and student development make her a truly deserving recipient of the SPSF Teacher of the Year award. Stroud Public Schools and the entire Stroud community are fortunate to have such a dedicated educator and role model. Congratulations, Kelly Brown!
Congratulations to the Stroud High School’s Class of 2025 who celebrated outstanding academic achievement at their awards ceremony, where an impressive 83% of the graduating class was awarded academic scholarships. These scholarships collectively totaled $1,562,400, highlighting academic excellence, community involvement, and hard work throughout their high school years.
Thank you to all the scholarship sponsors, foundations, and memorial scholarship donors who generously support the future of Stroud High School graduates. Their contributions play a pivotal role in empowering students to pursue higher education and achieve their dreams. The ceremony reflected not only the academic success of the students but also the strength of the community in supporting and investing in the next generation of leaders.

Today, we celebrate four amazing educators from Stroud Public Schools who are retiring after decades of dedication, inspiration, and heart. Jill Blanski is retiring after 22 years, most recently sharing her creative spirit as our beloved Art teacher, inspiring students to see the world through color, imagination, and expression. Sharon Emmons is retiring after an incredible 30-year teaching career. Most recently she has been the dedicated instructor at the Sac and Fox Detention Center, where her compassion and commitment gave hope, structure, and education to those who needed it most. Jerry Martin, our steady and compassionate High School Principal, is retiring after 29 years of leadership, always putting students first and shaping a school culture rooted in respect and growth. Linda Thomas, a cornerstone of our English and Drama departments, is retiring after 30 years of bringing literature to life and helping students find their voice on and off the stage. Together, they’ve shaped generations, built lasting legacies, and touched more lives than they’ll ever know. Thank you for your service, your heart, and your tireless commitment to our students and Stroud Public Schools.
