💙 Parkview Elementary celebrated Random Acts of Kindness Week last month!
Each morning, staff members greeted students at the doors with Random Acts of Kindness treats to start the day with a smile. Students enjoyed dressing up throughout the week and participating in daily kindness challenges that encouraged them to look for ways to make a positive difference.
They read the book The Kindness Quilt, and every student designed a special square for Parkview’s own Kindness Quilt. They illustrated an act of kindness and wrote about it, creating a beautiful display of thoughtful ideas. The PreK through 1st grade students also made kindness bead bracelets, with each bead color representing a different act of kindness.
Students took pictures at the “Be the I in Kind” board, celebrating the important role each of them plays in making our school a caring community.
One of the biggest highlights of the week was collecting over 200 cereal boxes to create an exciting domino train during the Tiger Pride Assembly! Teachers and staff even joined the Kindness Train for the celebration. After the domino rally, all of the cereal boxes were donated to the Stroud Food Pantry to help families in our community.
To wrap up the assembly, students were encouraged to spread kindness like confetti. Giant poppers filled the air with confetti, and the excitement on their faces said it all. It was the perfect ending to a week that reminded us all how powerful kindness can be!

🔷It’s a GREAT day to be a TIGER!🔷

This evening the Stroud Police Department received information regarding a rumored threat of a shooting tomorrow (Wednesday, February 25, 2026) at the Stroud Schools and specifically Stroud Middle School. This information was attributed to student sources that attend our schools. After careful and extensive investigation of the rumor by the Stroud Police Department, it has been determined there has been no threat made or verified by any student about an attack on the school. The information appears to have originated with student discussions about the presence of the Stroud Police Department near Stroud Middle School today, as they assisted in blocking Seventh Street for crews doing electrical work in that area. I have confirmed this information with Chief Gaylord this evening. I wish to repeat the information has been determined to be rumor, and the investigation by the Stroud Police Department has verified there has been no threat made toward Stroud Middle School or the Stroud Schools.
