📚Our FCCLA members spent some time last week teaching Ag in the Classroom to the 2nd and 5th grade students! With training and supplies provided by the Lincoln County Extension Office, our students helped younger learners understand how our farms truly put food on the table at home. In the 2nd Grade classroom, FCCLA read “Flat” by Annie Davis and talked about agriculture in everyday life. After the story, students colored the main characters: Annie and Aggie. In the 5th Grade classroom, FCCLA read “Molly Grow a Pie”, taught the food web, and wrapped it up with a fun activity making pumpkin pie in a cup! 💙It's a GREAT day to be a TIGER!💙

Mrs. Martinez kicked off the semester by presenting her students with a mock crime scene and asking them to determine what had happened. Little did they know, the scene was actually the final moment of Romeo and Juliet. Framed as a passive-voice writing assignment, students were tasked with describing their hypotheses about the scene using only passive voice. As the class later read the play, Mrs. Martinez says it’s fun to watch the “lightbulb moments” when students realize what the scene was really about.

Last week, Stroud FFA members completed etiquette training focused on developing professional behavior, strengthening leadership skills, and preparing them for success in school, the workplace, and future agricultural careers. We’re proud of the growth they showed and the confidence they gained. A huge thank you to Stroud FCCLA and Kyle Anderson for helping prepare the meals and supporting this valuable experience! 🔷It's a GREAT day to be a TIGER!🔷
