SHS BITE

Business and Information Technology Education

The Stroud High School Business and Information Technology Education courses are offered as part of our Oklahoma Career and Technology Education partnership.

Courses offered are:

Fundamentals of Technology

The focus in Fundamentals of Technology is on Computer Literacy, Computer Science basics and the MS Office Suite of Applications.  This course serves to prepare students for the Microsoft Office User Specialist level of professional certifications.

Computer Science Discoveries

CS Discoveries takes a wide lens on computer science by covering topics such as programming, physical computing, HTML/CSS, and data. Students engage with computer science as a medium for creativity, communication, problem solving, and fun. The course inspires students as they build their own websites, apps, games, and physical computing devices.

AP Computer Science Principles

Computer Science Principles introduces students to the foundational concepts of computer science and challenges them to explore how computing and technology can impact the world. More than a traditional introduction to programming, it is a rigorous, engaging, and approachable course that explores many of the foundational ideas of computing so all students understand how these concepts are transforming the world we live in.
